Description:

Magnesium is one of the major minerals found in natural seawater and all sea salt mixes. Maintaining a magnesium concentration between 1300-1400 ppm is essential in a reef aquarium, as it will ensure optimal coral growth by facilitating the maintenance of other necessary parameters at natural seawater levels. However, magnesium is rapidly depleted from the aquarium through a variety of biological processes — it is used up by the organisms in the system. When the magnesium concentration falls below 1300 ppm, problems may arise in maintaining adequate calcium levels (420-430 ppm) and carbonate alkalinity (7 dKH).  ECO MAGNESIUM is an ionically balanced product that will safely raise the magnesium concentration to the safe levels found in natural seawater (1300-1400 ppm).

Directions for use:

Test the magnesium level in the system with a reliable test kit before using Eco MAGNESIUM.  If the magnesium concentration is below 1300 ppm, do the following: It is important to shake the bottle of ECO MAGNESIUM liquid vigorously prior to each use!  Add 1 ounce (30 ml) per 30 U.S. gallons (50 ml / 200 liters) per day of ECO MAGNESIUM until a magnesium concentration of 1350 ppm is reached. To maintain this level, repeat the recommended dosage weekly.
